FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading HR Management and Consulting firm. We are seeking an energetic and motivated Controller to assist our client, a government contractor, out of their Montgomery County office. This position will be an integral part of the management team working to grow the company.
Responsibilities of the Controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations (Payroll, Billing, A/P, A/R,) analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, coordinate and manage auditing processes (financial and employee benefit), and ensuring accuracy of financial information. Coordinate the budgeting function and monthly review of budget versus actual results.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years’ experience working in positions of increased responsibilities within the Government Contracting industry. The candidate will have earned an Accounting/Finance Degree, CPA and or MBA. This person must be a self-starter with strong analytic skills as well as strong Excel skills. In depth knowledge of Costpoint is required.
