FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading Human Capital Management Firm. We are assisting our client, Bold Ocean (an exciting, growing maritime shipping company) in their search for a FP&A Manager. This position will be located in Annapolis, MD. This opportunity offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. This position is full time and permanent.
The Bold Ocean team is seeking a candidate who is motivated, works well in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, is flexible, detail oriented, works independently after training, and is willing to learn new systems. The FP&A Manager position will work closely with the company’s Controller, while also developing a close working relationship with colleagues in the operational and technical departments.
Maintain / refresh business plan forecasting with monthly / quarterly / annual updates for budgeting and covenant forecasting purposes
Develop and update project specific financial models and analysis to support project evaluation and management, as well as strategic decision making
Work with treasury / accounting to maintain 13-week cash model (close coordination of weekly cash disbursements planning, budget variance reporting, monthly budget updates etc.)
Support technical team with management of capital expenditure projects and the development of project lookback analyses
Develop and update board and investor materials on a monthly basis
Ad hoc finance and analytical support of the senior / executive management team
Degree in Finance / Accounting (or equivalent experience)
Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams
Strong analytical and communication skills
Must possess strong financial modeling / MS Excel skills and should be proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite applications (MS PowerPoint, PowerBI etc.)
Proficiency or willingness to learn other accounting software systems, such as Business Central, NSE, and Veson
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and high attention to detail
