Job Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Analyst who plays a key role in executing our client's payroll and analytics tasks. The Payroll Analyst is a strong problem solver, critical and strategic thinker, self-motivated, detailed oriented and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Process semimonthly payroll for 1,000+ employees payroll and reconcile final payroll before
distribution including commissions, various tax and benefit deductions, payroll adjustments,
garnishments and process monthly payroll journal entries
Reviews and validates calculations for overtime, taxes, deductions, bonuses, and other special
payments
Prepares reports for management and finance and reconciles payroll records with the general ledger
Receives, analyzes, and administers garnishments in compliance with all legal requirements
Processes stop payments, electronic fund transfer reversals, and check reversals for payroll
transactions
Monitors all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization's payroll processing objectives, including relationships with external auditors and government agencies
Publishing and releasing data for company records
Coordinate with various regulators on setting up unemployment and wage taxes in new states
Maintain employee records, ensure employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
Providing information and answering employee inquiries related to payroll matters
Reviews current processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and to optimize the use of
technology
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree or above with a minimum 3.0 GPA
2+ years relevant experience in payroll processing
2+ years experience using ADP payroll systems
Required Skills, Abilities, Soft Skill Factors
Experience with nonqualified stock option compensation plans
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong problem-solving skills

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Frequent keyboarding required, using hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. May spend up to 8 hours per day sitting and may have occasional movement throughout the facility. Regular use of communicating via Microsoft Teams, email, and phone.
