FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading Human Capital Management Firm. We are assisting our client in their search for a Radio Frequency Management Specialist, out of their office in Annapolis, MD.
This is an entry level position in support of Frequency Management and Selective Calling (SELCAL). Responsible for assisting in the selection and assignment of aeronautical frequencies and SELCAL codes for customers.
Through building upon the experience gained in this role and training, it may take some time before the employee is acclimated to the various tasks and roles and develops proficiency to become impactful in the role.
Primary Functions/Responsibilities: Assisting the Senior Frequency Management Specialist/ SELCAL Registrar with the following activities:
Frequency Management
Assign appropriate aeronautical frequency for customer request using the database system.
Ensuring all assignments meet technical, federal, and international regulatory requirements.
Provide customers with a Temporary Authority license if required.
Review, and correct, if necessary, customer license renewal request.
Manage and review the frequency database to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Selective Calling (SELCAL)
Perform the issuance, transfer and turn-in of customer SELCAL codes.
Check all SELCAL applicants for OFAC compliance.
Provide annual report to ICAO with a summary of SELCAL usage.
Dealing with international customers and entities to process requests.
Support the Aeronautical Frequency Committee.
Attend Meetings with airline and aviation industry representatives in various domestic forums.
Travel domestically to coordinate with customers and aviation industry groups.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central software package.

Constantly operates a computer/smartphone/tablet.
Regularly required to maintain a stationary position sitting at a desk and working on a computer; move about the office and the local metropolitan area; determine what others have said or written; and converse with others and exchange accurate information.
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the office and travel (locally, nationally, and internationally).
May also include occasional bending, stooping, squatting, and/or pushing and pulling or moving, e.g., to pack, unpack, and/or move cases.
Occasionally required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to 15 lbs.
While on travel, could be responsible to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve luggage weighing as much as 55 lbs. (Assistance may not always be available.)
