The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing and executing various human resources functions to support the organization's overall HR strategy. This role involves managing HR operations, providing guidance to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, job descriptions, and interviewing.
Onboarding
Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process with Paylocity training and collecting forms.
Employee Relations
Address employee inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts and grievances in a fair and impartial manner.
HR Policies and Compliance
Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Stay up to date with labor/employment laws and regulations – COBRA, FMLA, OSHA, DOL
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Ensure consistent enforcement and adherence to company policies.
Benefits Administration
Administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
Performance Management
Support the performance review process by providing guidance to managers and employees.
Assist with benchmarking positions to ensure fair and competitive compensation.
Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans.
Administer performance appraisal processes.
Employee Records & Documentation
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files.
Process changes in employment status, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Prepare reports on HR metrics and compliance as needed.
HR Administration and Policies & Procedures
Assist with payroll processing, time and attendance tracking, and HR software management./Paylocity
Manage HR-related documentation and forms.
Training and Development
Support training initiatives
Employee Engagement and Culture
Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
HR Projects and Initiatives
Participation as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
5+years of progressive HR experience, including generalist responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Service or Construction industry preferred; experience with service labor
Proficiency in Paylocity/HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
