Job Title: Human Resources Generalist (Boston, MA)

We deliver tailored cost-containment HCM consulting services to easily meet some of the most complex challenges that our clients face daily. We are currently assisting our client based in Boston, MA, in the search for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a hybrid, full-time, salaried position (4 days in office, 1-day WFH).

Job Purpose: The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring adherence to HR policies, and providing support to both employees and management. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, payroll processing, compensation and benefits, performance management, and other HR functions to maintain a productive and positive workplace.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and be a SME in the ADP Workforce system.
  • Manage and process weekly payroll for 100+ employees, including union workers, ensuring compliance with union contracts and certified payroll requirements.
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Address benefits-related inquiries and coordinate open enrollment.
  • Oversee recruitment, employee relations, compliance with employment laws, and HR policies.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and training programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience (preferably in construction or a related sector).
  • At least 2 years of experience in benefits administration, including ADP Workforce Now.
  • Knowledge of HR laws, union agreements, and proficiency in HR software.
