Senior Payroll Specialist

We deliver tailored cost-containment HCM consulting services to easily meet some of the most complex challenges that our clients face daily. We are currently assisting our client based in Radnor, PA, in the search for a Senior Payroll Specialist. This is a hybrid, full-time, and salaried position.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process payrolls and make necessary payroll adjustments; handle garnishments and perform pre-processing audits and adjustments to ensure data accuracy.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as tax laws and all payroll-related guidelines.
  • Oversee legal compliance with overtime FLSA regulations for hourly and non-exempt employees.
  • Keep payroll systems updated with employee changes, new hires, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on various payroll-related tasks, including annual bonus preparation and review, tax matters, audit support, and handling data requests.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure data accuracy; proficiently use ADPR to generate reports and quires, analyze data, and maintain data integrity.  

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required, along with 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, with the ability to enforce standard operating procedures effectively. Strong understanding of laws related to garnishments, subpoenas, and payroll compliance in the U.S.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify problems, determine root causes, find solutions, and ensure issues are addressed accurately.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry and payroll calculations.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and collaboration skills to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen and relate well to others, while tactfully and effectively expressing opinions. This includes collaborating with teams and interacting with employees to provide timely and informative responses.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
