FosterThomas is an Annapolis based HR Consulting and Staffing firm.  We are currently conducting the search for an experienced HR Manager for our confidential client based in Tampa, FL.
Our Client, is a growing and dynamic company that is in need of a professional, hands on and personable HR professional to lead and manage the companys HR initiatives and department. 
 
Duties will include but not limited to:
 
  • Employee Benefits: Work in conjunction with team and carriers to provide benefits plans, programs, etc. for employees. Supervise annual Open Enrollment, annual audits such as Non Discrimination Testing of 401K plan, and other benefits programs.
  • Talent Acquisition: Assists department heads to develop position descriptions, manage direct hiring or utilization of 3rd party agencies or recruiters to fill open positions. Ensure that all new employees receive proper onboarding and initial training to be successful.  Work with international colleagues on ex-pat visas, contracts, etc.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee inquiries and complaints; facilitate employee relations situations as needed. Advise and assist with disciplinary procedures and terminations. Keep employees informed on company related issues.
  • Policy and Procedures:Develop: policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state laws that reflect company culture and values.
  • Professional Development: Create and manage on-the-job training and mentoring programs. Assist department managers with performance reviews and performance development plans. 
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
REQUIRED
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an HR Management role. Ten to 15 years success in a human resources management position may be substituted for educational requirement.
  • Experience in the construction or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience with managing visas, ex-pat contracts, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Experience with current ADP Software
 
PREFERRED
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification
  • Professional Spanish speaking and writing skills
