FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading HR Management and Consulting firm. We are seeking a Jr. Web Developer to assist our client out of their Washington, DC location. This opportunity is full time and permanent.

DTC Global Services is seeking a Jr. Web Developer for a support program at the USDA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
  • Will be responsible for a Government Agency's web portal(s) that provides users with important up-to-date system information.
  • Will be responsible for designing, coding and modifying websites, from layout to go-live according to specifications.
  • Will create, design, update, and load content (words, graphics, photos, tables, charts) into the website content management system
  • Will use technical website knowledge to optimize content and adjust content for customer experience. Will enhance the website's user interface (UI) design by building custom navigation structures, updating visual graphics, and unifying the overall color scheme.
  • Will develop automatic system status alerts to inform users on system availability using JavaScript. 
  • Will develop an efficient way to dynamically display training information that allows the user to view locations interactively on Google Maps within the website. 
  • Will administer and enhance existing user portal and will develop the Charge Card Service Center, Purchase Card and Fleet Card website portals.
  • Experienced with IIS, web portals, web servers, external calls etc. 
  • Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite to create visually compelling Web graphics and images and optimize creative elements to perform well on the website.
  • Must have experience with HTML, HML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX.
  • Experience with Drupal or moving older websites to Drupal required.
  • Experience with Google Maps a plus.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work for any employer without sponsorship.
