Regional Human Resources Manager

FosterThomas is an Annapolis based HR Consulting and Staffing firm.  We are currently conducting the search for a Human Resources Manager for our client based in Elkridge, MD.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Source, recruit and onboard talents
  • Administer policy and procedures
  • Handle basic disciplinary and performance issues
  • Perform workplace injury administrative duties
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Analyze and present metric results to management
  • Steer employee engagement initiatives on local level
  • Manage employee relations and communications on all human resource functional areas as needed
  • Provide guidance and support in the areas of culture and change management
  • Articulate the Company’s position in a positive and effective manner, requiring excellent business acumen and thorough understanding of the Company’s business challenges
  • Identify areas of the business where recommendation(s) can help make a positive mark by identifying, prioritizing, creating and taking the lead on various HR projects and initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to ensure employees are treated in an equitable and consistent manner
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers that will enable them to successfully lead their teams
  • Assist with employee relations investigations and other sensitive employee matters
  • Identify and provide feedback on work environment, trending issues, opportunities for improvement and new ideas
  • Conduct required compliance trainings
  • Assist to ensure company adheres to relevant federal and state employment laws and required regulatory reporting
  • Projects as assigned by HQ
Requirements:
  • 4+ years current experience required in progressive, diversified environment with recruiting and onboarding experience, preferable in mid/large sized manufacturing or construction organization
  • Recruiting experience with building community relationships to increase candidate pool
  • Experience and comfort level managing employee relations situations and disciplinary actions
  • Bachelor's degree in HR/Business required
  • PHR certification required
  • Experience with supporting remote locations
  • Travel required to support multiple locations (40-50% primarily between Maryland, Florida, and New Jersey locations)
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information; strong ethics; integrity and sound judgement
  • Self-starter with positive, "can-do", professional approach; ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to flex and adapt work focus to meet business demands
  • Strong ability to work independently from remote headquarter management, prioritize and maximize time
