Our client is a fast growing consulting and services firm based in Reston, Virginia that serves Government and Commercial clients providing Management Consulting, IT Consulting and Operational Support Services. They have an immediate need for a Project Coordinator to work in their Reston, VA headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Program Management Department in various client engagements to include:
    • Project Scheduling
    • Budgeting
    • Communication Planning
    • Market Research
    • Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts
  • Assist in the management of key initiatives and programs supporting the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Obtain the Certified Associate in Program Management designation; eventually get certified as a PMP through PMI
  • Other duties as required

Experience and Skills

Knowledge and Skills
  • Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management from a support prospective
  • Proven experience in providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
  • Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint software
  • Diligent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Team player and able to work on own initiative
  • Analytic ability
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Should be able to pass a comprehensive background check 
  • US citizenship
Education and Experience:
  • College degree required
  • At least one year’s experience desired
