FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading HR Consulting and Talent Acquisition Firm.  We are assisting a client in the Baltimore, MD area with a search for a Director of Construction & Facilities. 

Position Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects including the acquisition and maintenance of properties. This position will:
  • Manage all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of projects and costs, preparing status reports for upper management, scheduling, and communication
  • Conduct property searches
  • Maintain project documentation for management review
  • Monitor construction progress, including compliance with building and safety codes
  • Negotiate contracts and bids with architects, vendors, contractors and others
  • Support budgeting for yearly capital expenditures
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of existing facilities
  • Some travel required
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management
  • At least 4 years of experience in management of commercial/industrial construction required 
  • Knowledge of project management tools including cost projection
  • Skill in interpreting/applying blueprints and specifications  
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Supervisory experience
