FosterThomas, a Mid-Atlantic Staffing and Recruiting Firm, is leading the search for a Human Resources Associate, for our Client located in Washington, DC.

Basic Responsibilities include:
Managing various aspects of employee benefits including enrollments, COBRA, Cafeteria Programs, and 401k administration.
Maintaining personnel files and all related documents.
Maintaining and revising the employee handbook.
Administering employee incentive and recognition programs.
Assisting in the acquisition of new employees by posting ads, screening applicants, and  managing new hire orientation.
Assisting employees with various issues, such as medical bills, 401k loans, etc.
Managing garnishments, workman’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, new hires, and terminations.
Assuring compliance with Affordable Care Act, FLSA, FMLA, USERRA, ADA, EEOC, CA and MD labor laws and all other employment related laws.
Administering all employee health care programs including self funded Medical, Voluntary Life, Disability, Vision, Dental, Aflac and Flex plan.
Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and 2-5 years’ experience in HR field. A substantial amount of related field experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor’s Degree for the right candidate. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is ideal.
