 for our client in Washington DC.

Manager of Programs and Research
 Manager of Programs and Research will support the director of programs as well as taking the lead on a number of health IT focused research and programmatic activities. Experience working in the healthcare field on programs and policy related to health information, accountable care, analytics or care coordination efforts is a plus.  Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and must have excellent analytic, written and oral communication skills.
Duties include:
  • Assisting in agenda development and suggested speakers for web conferences and bi-annual meetings including marketing materials, speaker invitation and coordination, and follow up
  • Organizing and supporting monthly Committee meetings and briefings; sending calendar invitations, responding to member requests for information, developing agendas, follow up with meeting meetings and other communication with members
  • Staffing expert panels to come up with speaker recommendations, developing program summary and agenda, creating and tracking participants and speakers through a workplan; taking notes and summarizing meetings
  • Maintaining speaker database
  • Assisting in developing and fielding informal surveys to health care professionals; review survey results and developing summary of results
  • Assisting in researching, developing and drafting policy reports and briefs and assist with report dissemination and presentation to policy audiences
  • Support senior level staff to research new opportunities and grants, respond to RFPs, and support development of proposals
  • Researching and summarizing and maintenance of content for focus areas on their website
The desirable candidate is a highly motivated individual with a graduate degree and 4+ years of professional experience who has knowledge of healthcare issues and is interested in working with private and public sector leaders to drive meaningful change in healthcare. Position requires regular interaction with members and staff, business executives, health information technology professionals and other healthcare stakeholders.
