FosterThomas, a Mid-Atlantic Staffing and Recruiting Firm, is leading the search for a Human Resource Manager for our Client located in Baltimore, MD. 
 
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, on-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
 
  1. Administers various Human Resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual
  2. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, conducts new-employee orientations; and writes and places advertisements
  3. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  4. Monitors and helps administer the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
  5. Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
  6. Performs employee relations counseling
  7. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals
  8. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
  9. Manufacturing Background
  10. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification highly preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in Human Resources
  • Bi-Lingual a plus
