Job Summary:

As a Sales Support Specialist, your main duties and responsibilities will include responsibility for the entire life cycle of the client groups from benefit implementation/shifts from one carrier to another; interfacing with carrier reps, outside brokers; delivering and bidding out renewals; handling renewals, answering benefit/plan questions, billing, enrollment, claims and COBRA inquiries. In addition, you will aid in the preparation of proposals and coordinate the bidding process and collecting of proposals from carriers to consolidate. Updating our internal database, CRM with benefit changes for clients, and aid in the education process to employers and their employees.  Providing impeccable customer service and responding with educated, accurate responses to questions and other inquiries from small and large group clients will be required.  Communication with clients will be via telephone and email, with occasional visits to client sites to run open enrollment meetings. 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years related experience in the insurance industry or a combination thereof.
  • Insurance agency experience preferred to include: Employee Benefits is preferred (Health, Life, STD, LTD, Vision, FSA, LTC)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include an outstanding customer service attitude.
  • In depth knowledge of sales and marketing principles.
  • High level of organizational ability and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks / assignments in the required timeframes.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Management of BenAdmin System
  • Requires local travel to and from client sites
  • Life and Health Agents License preferred
