As a Technical Program Manager, you are responsible for a program that represents an 18-year tradition of exceptional service to the government by our contracting firm. As the senior DevOps management team member, you lead the team of developers, engineers, and help desk resources. You interview and hire qualified new team members. Under your excellent leadership and coaching, team members are engaged and motivated. You support on-going USDA and civilian agency programs, manage on-site and remote technical and business analysts, and manage multiple task orders to meet client and organization work objectives.

You lead DevOps by providing technical leadership and building relationships with the team and government. Your role is to keep software release and operations in sync as well as ensure that the help desk is on top of ever-evolving system functionality and is fully prepared to resolve user questions and issues. You support Oracle-based COTS systems using an agile approach to delivery. In addition to your program work, you work closely with the CEO, business capture teams, and the COO. You have a great opportunity to lead the client to adopt a fully agile approach and introduce technical efficiencies including commercial cloud solutions.

As needed to support the development of proposals and business development, you write technical content for proposals, white papers, and other artifacts. You also provide subject matter expertise in the areas of information management, specifically acquisition and procurement policy. Through accurate daily, weekly, and monthly status reports, you keep corporate management and government staff informed about the operational and financial status of your areas of stewardship. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or computer science
  • 5 years of experience managing technical projects including all aspects of project management and oversight, such as financial, personnel, and client management
  • Project management professional (PMP) certification (may be waived based on experience)
  • Experience selling solutions
  • Experience managing a team of on-site and remote personnel
  • Success in key project skill sets, including leadership, communication, customer relations, staff relations, management, and business development
  • Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance
  • Ability to lead by example, consensus-building, and execution
Prior experience supporting the USDA or other civilian federal programs is preferred, and experience with Oracle, SAP, and PRISM systems is highly desirable. But multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Would you be able to communicate effectively with our team members, the client, and the subcontractor staff? Are you attentive to detail? WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time DevOps project management position typically works Monday - Friday. Hours per day depends on how well the individual manages time and resources. Telework is approved during the Covid-19 pandemic.
