We are currently assisting our client, a progressive and reputable law firm based in Annapolis, MD, in the search for a Commercial Transactions Paralegal. This is a full-time, on-site, salaried position.
Job Purpose: This role is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in various commercial transactions in the fields of business, real estate, and finance. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and will have a strong desire and eagerness to learn about the services provided and the industries served.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with transaction management, including maintaining and updating closing checklists.
Prepare transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, and other contracts.
Conduct due diligence on commercial transactions, including title and survey reviews, UCC searches, and corporate document reviews.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and coordinating with lenders, attorneys, and brokers.
Assist in the closing process and manage post-closing matters, including compiling final closing documents and reviewing title policies.
Prepare corporate documents for entity formation and assist with the ongoing maintenance of corporate records.
Manage and organize client files in the electronic database and paper filing systems.
Perform other paralegal duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in law, business, real estate, or a related field.
Proven track record of working as a Paralegal (preferably in business, real estate, or finance settings).
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe PDF tools.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
