We deliver tailored cost-containment HCM consulting services to easily meet some of the most complex challenges that our clients face daily. We are currently assisting our client, BayLand Consultants & Designers, Inc., based in Hanover, MD, in the search for a Human Resources Generalist. This is an in-office, full-time, salaried position.5
Job Purpose: The Human Resources Generalist will oversee all aspects of HR practices and processes, supporting business needs and ensuring the proper implementation of BayLand's human resources strategies and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business goals.
Maintain and update HCM systems to ensure data accuracy.
Oversee annual performance appraisals and manage the in-house bi-weekly payroll process.
Administer employee benefits programs, including health, life, and disability insurance.
Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and leave.
Manage all employee leave, including FMLA and workers' compensation.
Drive recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
Provide HR metrics and reports to management to support decision-making.
Foster a positive work environment and employee experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
5+ years of HR experience, preferably in the Architectural/Engineering or Construction industries.
Strong knowledge of HR systems, payroll processing, and labor laws.
Proven experience in benefits administration, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 based on qualifications and experience.
