FosterThomas, Inc. is a leading HR Management and Consulting firm. We are supporting a client, a premier general contractor headquartered in the Washington DC Metro region with offices in Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, Dallas, TX and Denver, CO, in their search for an Talent Acquisition Manager.
The Manager of Talent Acquisition will develop and lead the recruiting strategy for the company.
Develop a recruiting strategy to position the company as a preferred employer in the construction industry
Plan, develop and implement processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions
Oversee the recruiting process – proactively identify needs, create job descriptions, post positions, interview candidates, and facilitate the interview process with hiring managers, perform reference verifications, conduct background investigations, order and review required screenings and coordinate orientation.
Manage the applicant tracking system
Oversee the recruiting budget
Lead continual automation efforts for the recruiting and onboarding process
Partner with executive leadership and the director of human resources to enhance the recruiting program, policies and procedures
Evaluate and communicate key recruiting metrics to ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively
Develop and manage outreach programs with high schools, trade schools, workforce development programs, community colleges and universities in the geographic areas of business operations
Participate in community events, committees, etc. to further develop recruiting relationships
Exhibit confidentiality with executive, employee, and corporate information
Ability to communicate professionally with executives, internal departments, corporate staff, site teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, carriers and candidates
Perform additional duties as assigned

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Self-starter, strong work ethic and a team player
BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
3-5 years of recruiting experience; recruiting in the construction industry a plus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop, and kneel
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Light to moderate lifting is required
Regular, consistent in-office hours required
Possess good hearing (normal or corrected)
